Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Ordered a thin crust buffalo chicken pizza tonight. The crust is NOT thin. It's a whole lot thicker than I wish it was. And it mostly tastes like salt? I am staying in a hotel, so I asked the driver to text or call so I could meet them in the lobby. Instead, they decided to ask the front desk for my room number and knocked on my door. (I talked privately to the hotel manager about that... single women do NOT like it when the front desk freely gives out their room number!) I don't know. Options around here seem very limited. I liked that the menu was really just pizza and not a bunch of fried stuff... that seemed to indicate to me that it would be fresher and better. I was wrong.

I ordered a veggie pizza which was amazing! the pizza was so hot and fresh, thin crust. By far the best bread sticks I have ever had. everything is fresh and the service is great! Will definitely order again!

I tried Penguino's last night for the first time. I was looking for something I have never tried before and landed on Penguino's. I got a thin crust pizza with pepperoni, pretty basic pizza. I also got there breadsticks. The pizza wasn't anything special at all, I was a bit disappointed to be honest. Maybe the thin crust pizza isn't there best pizza and I should have gotten there pan or deep dish but I was looking for thin crust. With that being said the breadsticks were AMAZING! I think I will order from them again just for the breadsticks. Ill try a different kind of pizza and update my review once I do. I think the place has potential, I'll go back and give them another chance on pizza.

I'm a fan of their pizza. They have fantastic thin crust, and their bread sticks are great, all at decent prices. Not only that, but the owner is an EXTREMELY nice guy. He always adds on free stuff to our orders, and is an overall very funny and nice guy. I always have a good experience. I'm actually shocked to see how low they are rated on Yelp. Or at least I was, until I scrolled to the bottom to the "non-recommended reviews". All of their good reviews are being filtered by Yelp! That's pretty ridiculous. I'm sure this one will be filtered too, for pointing it out.

Fantastic breadsticks and excellent pizza. The staff is very nice and delivery is prompt. What else can you ask for?

Why does this place have a 5.0 on Google? The pizza is basically pepperoni bread. Where's the sauce? No freaking clue. Pizza is super basic and not that great. The wings were drowning in BBQ sauce and were basic AF as well. Could have made better wings myself. Got complimentary bread sticks however and those were the only good thing of my entire order. Waited over an hour for this food and it was an utter disappointment.

Oh pizza, pizza!!! How I wish you didn't have so many calories?! Oh well, you go too nicely with alcohol to pass you up. I had a coupon for Penguinos so I thought we'd give them a try. We called them, the owner picked up and he was super sweet on the phone answering all of our questions. Not sure if this is the new owner people keep talking about or the old one or the only one that has ever been there, but either way, he was very pleasant to speak with. We asked him for a specific pick up time and he said our pizza would be good to go! We came by and the place was pretty empty which really surprised us. The owner was very nice as we paid for our pizza and left. He gave us a little magnet to put on our fridge and we promised to be back and bring him more business. Onto the important part, the pizza, my calorie filled love. It was a delicious extra large with tons of veggies, thin crust just the way we like it and the perfect amount of gooey cheese. It was delicious. I'll be honest it wasn't the best I've ever had, but very authentic to the ones we had in Italy. But what really will bring us back is the nice customer service because you feel like you're family with how nice the man talks to you. I also don't understand the complaints that they only have pizza, well it's a PIZZA place, what do you expect? At papa johns they have their pizza and breadsticks and people don't seem to mind. Penguinos is definitely worth trying for great quality pizza, excellent and speedy service and a convenient location to us. Will definitely be back!!!

This was such a pleasant surprise! This little pizza place is tucked away in the corner off a shopping plaza off Dundee and Buffalo Grove rds, and from the outside It looked like any other place, But that is so far from the truth. The service was so friendly and thorough. The owner took the time to ask questions about my expectations and preferences to better suggest the right menu item for me, while smiling and being patient the whole time. The decor was nice for a mostly take out pizza place, a couple nicely stocked tables with expensive-looking table cloths. The Pizza I ordered was done within minutes, and I got to talk to the owner a bit more during the process, so it felt like even less time for my food to come out. The pizza itself had a great taste, very fresh ingredients. I would recommend this pizza place to my friends and will be back.

Penguino's used to be our favorite pizza place in Buffalo Grove. We ordered the deep dish and were very disappointed to receive what looked like a pan pizza with minimal toppings. I called to tell them that there must have been a mistake. It was then explained to me that Penguino's has been under new ownership for the last five months and what I received was their version of deep dish. If what we had was deep dish, I can't imagine what the pan pizza looks like. On a positive note, the sauce was very good. Needless to say, we will not be returning to Penguino's.

TASTELESS(NO TOM) Owner does not take advice from anyone that it is bready and blah!!! Joes,Pizzanos,D"agostinos even Rosatis have great success because they GET IT! This pizza ONLY looks good, but is actually BLAND and blahhhhhhh!!!! And I try once/year.I personally know over 40 people who strongly agree. WAKE-UP and change that boring recipe!!!! Longevity alone does not cut it!!!

I ordered off of GrubHub. The first thing Penguinos did correct: delivering early. I expected it to arrive at 1:20, it arrived at 12:40. The second thing Penguinos did correct: showed me they cared. I do believe it was the owner that came and delivered to me. He asked me how I found out about their restaurant, gave me a magnet, a coupon, etc. I order a lot from restaurants and I've not been asked this. Third thing that Penguinos did correctly: the food tasted GREAT. I'm definitely going to be a returning customer, no doubt about it.

Penguino's was awesome but has since been sold to a new owner who greatly limited the menu. The only thing you can really get now is pizza or a beef sandwich. There is not one fried item on the menu- no fries, mozzarella sticks, etc! The quality of the food is ok, but why wouldn't I go to one of the other twenty pizza joints in the same area that offer a great variety? Got a slice of pizza today with onions and spinach. Terrible! First of all it's old, re-heated slices and the onion and spinach was raw and just thrown on top!
